Wind River Indian Reservation
Outreach Project
When: May 15-23/2010
Where: Wind River Indian Reservation Wyoming.
What: To do service projects for elderly natives and after school work with native children including sports camps
Details: Fly into denver and drive 5.5 hours to Fort Washakie Wyoming. We will stay in the Eastern Shonone Indian village. There will be separate homes for men and women. We will be responsible for buying food and preparation. During the day we will work with the locals to build ramps, porches, painting and whatever else is needed. In the afternoon we will do some VBS type things and sports camps, basketball, and lacrosse.
Cost: Between $650-$750. Includes airfare, vehicle rental, gas, food, and lodging. Food to and from reservation is not included as well as other spending in the area. We are looking to get a scholarship which could run the price down to around $300-$350 if needed.
